Britt (Brittsy) Orzechowski

Artist Biography

Britt is a full-time contemporary artist based in Corpus Christi, Texas. She graduated from Texas State University in 1990 (SWT back those days) with a major in Fashion Merchandising and a minor in Art. She gravitated to sales and business management and spent the last 10 years running and managing a medical spa. During the COVID 19 epidemic, Britt made the decision to follow her dream and pursue her art full time.

Her style is abstract and representational and each painting emphasizes the unique characteristics of her subject matter. She is a lover of all things beautiful and her inspiration comes from the beautiful world around us, the surf, the brilliant rays of the sun, the innocence of an animal, and sometimes just simply the abstract expression of emotion.

Her paintings evoke feelings of happiness and serenity through her recognizable color palette and subject matter. Her goal is to bring a smile to your face. Bold brights mixed with soft pastels that you see in the sky and oceans are her colors of choice. And of course Green, her mom’s favorite color.

She has such a strong love for dogs that has inspired her to paint custom pet portraits. Britt’s emotional connection to animals allows her to be able to capture their unique personalities and expressions. She can definitely relate to the love you may feel for your pet and she is always excited to create a memory on canvas that can last a lifetime.

In her own words

I am a huge DOG LOVER and lover of all animals. Their individual characteristics and the emotion they show us in their expressions and in their eyes consumes me. I have developed an obsession for painting colorful custom dog portraits in my unique style with the colors I see in them.

For me, dogs are instant pure joy! I’ve decided that I want that instant “Joy Jolt” in my life everyday. To add the cherry on top, I want to be able to provide you with the same joy by creating a special keepsake that will last a lifetime.

CABO “My Doggie Inspiration”

I graduated from Texas State University (then SWT) where I studied Art as my minor. I put art aside to follow a career in Sales and Business Management and to spend time with my husband, my teenage daughter and Cabo, my 90 lb. white lab lap dog better known as ”Just a Baby”.

I rediscovered my passion after moving to Padre Island, Texas. I began to paint again and decided to brand my work as Brittsy. Brittsy is what my family and close friends have called me since I was a baby. As of 2021, I spend every spare minute in my studio. When I’m not working on dog portraits, I paint whatever I’m inspired by. Sometimes its the magnificent Texas sky, the coastal wildlife or just my emotional expression. I am proud to say that I am a full-time artist and so very blessed to be able to share my creations with you..
